Argostolion
The Ionian island of Kefalonia is all rugged landscapes, mountainous peaks, crumbling coves and white sands lapped by twinkling blue waters. Mount Ainos, the island’s highest peak, is an hour’s drive away for those who’re hankering after an adventure and unforgettable views, and is well worth a day trip if you decide to hire a car. Other options for exploring outside of the resort include the Drogarati Cave, an immense limestone cavern with tours, and there’s also the Melissani Cave, a scenic, subterranean lake with unfathomably blue waters surrounded by verdant greenery.
