Seis am Schlern
Tucked away at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi, the largest high-altitude Alpine pasture in Europe, your location is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. In the warmer months, lace up your hiking boots to explore the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park, or hop on a mountain bike to traverse the vast network of trails that wind through flower-filled meadows. For a touch of local lore, visit the Witches' Benches on the Bullaccia, where rock formations are said to have been the meeting point for mythical figures.
The village centre of Siusi allo Sciliar is just a 10-minute walk away, offering charming boutiques and traditional cafés. History buffs shouldn't miss the 12th-century ruins of Hauenstein Castle, once the home of the poet Oswald von Wolkenstein, or the fresco-adorned St. Valentin Church, which offers one of the most iconic photo opportunities in the region. In winter, the area transforms into a premier skiing destination, with the nearby cable car whisking you up to sun-kissed slopes and perfectly groomed cross-country runs.
