Enjoy a Cotswolds escape with a difference at a decadently designed hotel in Cirencester - includes breakfast, dinner and a bottle of prosecco

  • Gatsby-esque stay: Standing out from the Cotwolds' crowd, Ingleside House in Cirencester has a theatrical story to tell. It might be housed in a historic Grade II-listed building, but its personality couldn't be further from the quaint charms of its surroundings. From the vibrant restaurant and piano bar to the lavish guestrooms, you're in for a treat.

  • Dining experience to remember: The award-winning Téatro is Cirencester's tastiest secret. The carefully curated menus offer a contemporary take on not only British classics, but global favourites, using only the highest quality local ingredients. To complement all flavours and palates, there's also an expertly-crafted menu of drinks, from fine wines and adventurous ales to gins and cocktails.

  • Unique accommodation: Each bedroom is stylishly kitted out with its own design and personality. They're sanctuaries of style and comfort alike, brimming with bold colours, eye-catching prints and quirky furnishings. And the bathrooms don't disappoint either - think walk-in rainfall showers, cool tiles, and luxurious toiletries for the ultimate feel-good factor.

Entry requirements

The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

Cirencester

The town of Cirencester is known as the capital of the Cotswolds, because it lies right at the heart of this quintessentially British area. Despite its rich Roman past, it's often overlooked by its neighbour Cheltenham, but this means it has remained a traditional Cotswolds market town. Head to the square, which holds regular farmers' markets, all before learning about the town’s fascinating Roman history in the Corinium Museum.

Further afield, you can wander around Prince Charles’ Highgrove House, enjoy a flutter at Cheltenham Racecourse, go birdwatching in Cotswold Water Park or visit the fabulous Westonbirt Arboretum. Drive through chocolate-box villages in the Coln Valley and enjoy gloriously muddy walks in the Gloucester Cotswold hills.
