An elegant five-star hotel in the fashionable Charlottenburg district, with everything you need for a luxe city break – includes breakfast, a welcome drink, and late check-out

  • Luxe lodgings: This five-star hotel is the perfect spot for exploring Berlin, with a great setting in ritzy Charlottenburg – you’re just moments from the Tiergarten Park and the shopping area of Kurfürstendamm. Roomers Berlin Steinplatz, Autograph Collection, has been a hotel since 1913 and has a lengthy and fascinating history, once hosting Russian aristocrats, prominent Berliners and even a herd of goats who lived in the courtyard during the Second World War. You can learn more about the hotel and its past through a self-guided QR code tour.

  • All you need in the city: The hotel is well equipped to help you unwind while you explore the German capital – you need not leave, but we’d highly recommend you do, to explore the elegant surroundings. The rooftop spa promises serenity, with its luxury treatments and dreamy views of the city. There’s also a fitness centre, to keep you on track while you travel.

  • Art Deco dreams: Rooms and suites are luxuriously appointed in a modern interpretation of the Roaring Twenties: think flapper girl photos, patterned carpets, lacquered and mirrored finishes and premium materials. Rest your head in a perfectly plush bed, kitted out with all the bells and whistles, like BOSE speakers and guides to Berlin. Wake up to a delectable breakfast that’ll set you up for a day of exploring, and head back later in the day for sumptuous dinners at the French brasserie - Manon offers edgy, surprising Gallic fusion cuisine artfully mastered by renowned restaurateur The Duc Ngo.

How to get there

The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which can also be reached via public transport in about an hour. The nearest station can be found at Berlin Zoologischer Garten, around six minutes’ walk away, which has U-Bahn and S-Bahn services as well as national trains.

Entry requirements

The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

Berlin

Berlin’s upscale Charlottenburg district is in the west of the city, characterised by its elegant pre-war buildings, luxury shopping and a fabulously showy palace, the latter surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. Keen shoppers should make bee-line for Kurfürstendamm (known as ‘Ku’damm’), a long avenue often referred to as the ‘Champs-Elysées of Berlin’, which has big department stores, luxury hotels and boutiques, and all manner of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes – it’s handily just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Elsewhere, Berlin’s easy transport system (and the fact it’s pleasantly walkable) means the whole city is at your feet, quite literally. Take a stroll to the Tiergarten, a fabulous park with walking trails and the Berlin Zoological Garden or hop on the U-Bahn into the city centre to visit landmarks like Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate.
