Traditional charm: Nestled amidst the charming scenery of the Kochertal, Hotel Schloss Doettingen is waiting to welcome you with extraordinary flair (in more ways than one). Not only is the surrounding nature a feast for the eyes, but the hotel’s traditional architecture and cosy interiors are sure to delight all who visit. Think half-timbered facades, a blend of noble pasts and modern style, and a home away from home in Braunsbach.
-
Tantalising tastes: Down-to-earth enjoyment and high-quality produce are at the centre of the traditional cuisine of the Hohenlohe region. Savour local flavours in the hotel’s sophisticated restaurant, featuring chandelier-adorned rooms and cosy wooden beam ceilings. Look forward to regional classics made with fresh ingredients from the hotel’s garden, as well as homemade treats that are sure to please both your plate and your palate.
-
Relax, rejuvenate, and recharge: Treat yourself to all-round relaxation at the hotel’s serene spa, rounding off your days in ultimate tranquility. You can opt to enjoy slow breaks in the steamy sauna, muscle-melting wellness treatments, or refreshing beverages from the ice fountain. There’s also a warm indoor pool, equipped with a waterfall, massage jets, and a whirlpool, as well as a natural swimming pool in the warmer months.
How to get there
Hotel Schloss Doettingen is located a short drive north of the A6 via Braunsbach. For plane travel, the nearest airport is Giebelstadt Airport - approximately an hour’s drive from the hotel. If you’re arriving by train, you should first head to the station in Waldenburg, which is around 12 km west of Braunsbach. From here, it is just under a quarter of an hour by car or around 75 minutes by public transport to your accommodation.
Good to know
Please note that the natural swimming pool is seasonal. Please also note that children have restricted access to the spa and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Additionally, the hotel recommends booking all spa treatments in advance.

Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.
Braunsbach
Surrounded by lush forest and meadow landscapes, Hohenlohe (in the north-east of Baden-Württemberg) is one of the most picturesque areas in Southern Germany. Aptly coined the “land of castles and palaces”, Hohenlohe’s landscape is adorned by the river banks of the Jagst, Kocher, and Tauber, as well as picturesque buildings from the noble times - the perfect backdrop for a fairy-tale retreat.
The region is also home to an array of idyllic villages, decorated with half-timbered and gabled charm, that are definitely worth a visit. Braunsbach, known as the “pearl of the Kochertal”, is a must-see spot: home to many unforgettable hiking and cycling trails, as well as fascinating museums, the Benedictine monastery of Grosscomburg, and the castle ruins of Forchtenberg and Krautheim.
